The AI-native operating system for investment management
The operating system
behind the edge
For decades, running investment strategies has been tightly coupled to institutions. Hedge funds built vertically integrated stacks — data, research, execution, risk, and operations — accessible only to those with capital, relationships, and scale.
Podium replaces that fragmented architecture with a single, integrated operating system — where every part of the investment lifecycle is connected, programmable, and continuously improving.

The problem
From fragmented tools to a unified system
Today, running a strategy requires stitching together a fragmented stack. These systems are expensive, disconnected, and not built for iteration or automation.
Expensive, siloed, not built for automation
Disconnected from execution, no feedback loop
Manual setup, no integrated risk controls
Afterthought, not embedded in the workflow
Podium replaces this fragmented architecture with a single, integrated environment — where every part of the investment lifecycle is connected, programmable, and continuously improving.
The concept
An operating system for strategies
Just as an operating system abstracts compute, storage, and memory into a usable environment, Podium abstracts the complexity of running capital into a unified interface.

What you get
The full stack. Managed for you.
Every capability that a multi-manager hedge fund provides to its portfolio managers — execution, risk, data, accounting, compliance — available on day one. All within a single system.
Paper trading
Paper trading for US equities. Weight-based signal execution, fill tracking, and position management — connected and managed for you.
Portfolio management
Full portfolio lifecycle: signal generation, order derivation, fill simulation, and position tracking. Delay-1 execution model with configurable slippage.
Reconciliation
Automated T+1 reconciliation against actual open prices. Catch discrepancies before they compound. The back-office operations that funds pay millions for.
Risk engine
Pre-trade risk checks, per-strategy drawdown limits, position sizing constraints, sector concentration caps, and kill switches. Your strategy cannot blow up.
Data pipelines
~2,900-symbol security master (iShares R3K proxy). Daily OHLCV via Databento. Company fundamentals via FMP. Structured, normalized, and ready for analysis.
Portfolio accounting
Equity curves, P&L attribution, portfolio snapshots, performance metrics — Sharpe, Sortino, Calmar, max drawdown — computed automatically.
Backtesting engine
Historical simulation with configurable slippage, delay-1 execution, guardrail enforcement, and full decision traces. Prove your edge before risking capital.
Governance & compliance
Audit trails, trade logs, decision reasoning traces, guardrail breach history, and risk reporting. The compliance layer that used to require a legal team.
The runtime
From thesis to deployment in minutes
Podium is not just a toolset — it is a runtime environment. Define, test, and deploy strategies inside a structured, feedback-driven loop with embedded risk controls.
Define your strategy
Write deterministic Python signals or clone a template. Access 12,500+ US equities with daily OHLCV, fundamentals, and sector data.
Backtest with precision
Simulate against historical data with configurable slippage, walk-forward analysis, and full guardrail logs. Review every decision the strategy made.
Refine and iterate
Edit risk controls, adjust universe, tune parameters. Strategy iteration that once took weeks now happens in minutes — safely and at scale.
Deploy to paper trading
Seamless transition from backtest to daily paper trading. Embedded risk constraints, position limits, and kill switches at every step.
Enabled by Podium's strategy runtime: deterministic signal generation, controlled access to data and execution, continuous performance feedback, embedded risk constraints, and seamless transition from simulation to paper trading.
Two paths, one operating system
You bring the edge. The OS handles the rest.
Whether you code your own signals or start from a proven template, Podium gives you the operational backbone to backtest, deploy, and monitor a risk-controlled strategy.
For systematic traders
Strategy Builder
You have the edge. Deploy deterministic Python strategies using the Podium SDK — momentum, mean reversion, sector rotation, or custom alpha. Full programmatic control over signals and risk.

Template Trader
You have the thesis. Clone a proven strategy template, customize risk parameters, backtest against historical data, and deploy to paper trading — no coding required.

A new standard for running capital
By lowering the cost and complexity of infrastructure, Podium enables users to focus on what matters: generating and managing strategies — not maintaining systems.
Boutique funds & family offices
Reduce infrastructure costs and increase agility.
Emerging portfolio managers
Build track records without institutional backing.
Technical builders & domain experts
Apply your insights to financial markets.
Systematic strategy developers
A structured environment for deterministic strategy execution.
The trajectory
The next evolution of the multi-manager model
For most of hedge fund history, the model was simple: one manager, one fund, one vertically integrated stack. Every fund built its own execution systems, hired its own risk team, negotiated its own prime broker relationships, and ran its own back office. It worked — but it was expensive. The fixed cost of running a fund meant you needed tens of millions in AUM just to break even on operations before generating a dollar of alpha.
Multi-manager platforms changed the economics. Millennium, Citadel, and Point72 realized that if you let dozens of independent PMs share the same execution infrastructure, risk engines, data pipelines, and operational staff, the cost per PM drops dramatically. A single PM no longer needs to build and maintain a $5M/year technology stack. The platform absorbs that cost and spreads it across the portfolio. The result: faster deployment, tighter risk controls, and a structure where the quality of your ideas matters more than the size of your overhead budget.
That model now dominates. The largest, most consistent hedge funds in the world are multi-managers. But they still gate access — $50M AUM minimums, prime broker relationships, and the right institutional pedigree just to get a seat.
Podium is the natural next step in that progression.
The same shared-infrastructure economics that made multi-managers dominant — but without the gatekeeping. Every PM gets the full operational stack on day one. The platform gets stronger as more strategies run on it. Data pipelines improve. Execution pathways optimize. Risk models become more robust.
AI coding tools caused an explosion in the number of developers. There is no reason the same thing cannot happen in investment management. The barrier was never intelligence — it was infrastructure. Remove the infrastructure barrier, and you unlock a generation of portfolio managers who were never supposed to get a seat at the table.
The operating system is ready
Stop stitching together fragmented tools. Start running capital. Podium gives you the same execution, risk, and data capabilities that power the world's top multi-manager hedge funds — in a single, programmable environment.
